微生亩谓孔子曰：“丘，何为是栖栖者与？无乃为佞乎？”孔子曰：“非敢为佞也，疾固也。”

有一次当时很现实的一个人（微生亩，姓微生，名亩，春秋时鲁国的隐士）对孔子说：“你四处游说是什么意思？恐怕你也是仅仅是个自私而健谈的人。”孔子回答：“我也不希望做一个健谈的人，但是我不喜欢对人那种心胸狭窄、固执己见的想法。”
